Trama
E' il 1920 quando la ribellione dell'Irlanda del Sud sconfigge le forze britanniche e le famiglie dell'aristocrazia anglo-irlandese iniziano a sentirsi irlandesi. Sir Richard Naylor (Michael Gambon) vive con la moglie Lady Mayra (Maggie Smith), ed i nipoti Lois (keeley Hawes) e Laurance (Jonathan Slinger).A loro si aggiungono due amici. Le loro vite si intrecciano con la ribellione sullo sfondo.
